Four Americans and Australian Killed in Small Plane Crash

February 22, 2017

Four Americans and an Australian died in a small plane crash in Melbourne, Australia. The four Americans were friends on a golfing vacation, the Australian was piloting the plane — and it crashed into a shopping center/mall shortly after taking off. The pilot reported a serious engine failure before crashing.

Nobody else was injured on the ground. Pictures of the scene show the roof of the mall scrapped by the plane with a burning wreckage on the floor. It seems to be at the rear part of the mall. Terrible.

The White House Press Sec. Sean Spicer said the President’s thoughts are with the families of those people and that the U.S. Embassy is ready to provide support.
