A 62-year old Deaf man was killed in a train crossing in Clanton, Alabama last Wednesday. The train appears to be a freight train and it stopped after the impact as police investigated the scene in a downtown area. The Deaf man has been identified as Danny Wade Reeves.
His obituary says he was a student at the Alabama School for the Deaf and a longtime resident of Talladega. His funeral is scheduled on Sunday.
Very sad. I’ve reported about several other instances of a Deaf person being killed by a train in the past. Best to stay clear of any railroad tracks since trains are fast and we don't hear.
