Cockroach Stuck in Woman's Head

February 6, 2017

In India — a 42-year old woman went to the hospital after a cockroach went up her nostril when she was sleeping and became “stuck” inside of her head. The woman said she felt strange, burning sensations and pain around her nose and eyes. She was taken to the hospital and a nasal endoscopy revealed a cockroach inside of her skull, between her eyes. Doctors used a vacuum to try and remove it, but the bug refused to let go. Doctors had to use both forceps and suction for 45 minutes to pull it out — it was still alive. It is good news for the woman, as she could have gotten holes in her brain from the roach or a serious infection if it died.

Wow. I used think a spider crawling in your mouth while you were asleep was scary, but this? I’m going to sleep with nose plugs going forward.
